About Trucklabs

Trucklabs, before it was acquired, was a technology company specializing in aerodynamic solutions for the commercial trucking industry. Its flagship product, TruckWings, was an active aerodynamic device designed to close the gap between the tractor and trailer of Class 8 trucks. This device deployed automatically at highway speeds, reducing drag, enhancing vehicle stability, and improving fuel efficiency by 3% to 6%.

On average, each TruckWings-equipped truck saved over 1,100 gallons of fuel and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 15,000 pounds annually. The device also contributed to extending the range of electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles. Founded in 2014 as XStream, TruckLabs experienced rapid growth, achieving a 250% year-over-year increase in 2022. By 2023, its technology had logged over 750 million miles, saving a total of 80 million pounds of CO₂ emissions. The company's telematics system provided real-time tracking of fuel savings and device performance, offering valuable data to fleet operators.

In November 2023, TruckLabs was acquired by ConMet, a leading global supplier of parts and components for commercial trucks and trailers. This acquisition aimed to scale TruckLabs' innovative technology and integrate it into ConMet's extensive manufacturing and distribution network.
